Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his character on the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began during his college years. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both the television and film industry, but it was his small-screen characters that brought him fame and a large audience. The actor has the ability to create characters that reflect both the bad and good aspects in the law enforcement system. He can draw the attention of viewers with ease. He portrayed the role of a serial killer on the first TV series he appeared in and then went on to portray the character of an NYPD detective. The actor has been nominated several times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen appearances. He is famous for his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into a signature and helped create a charismatic character for tough roles. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
