Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American performer and actor who made her name with innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. She then expanded to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first music experience. She was a trumpet player. In the following years, she took up traditional and hip-hop training. In college, she concentrated on her studies and studied women's studies as well as journalism. In a short period of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. After graduating, it wasn't until when she decided to turn her attention on music. The track My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a viral hit via the Internet and eventually appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. It also included other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC BitcheUSD. The track that was the last one to be linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. After having a great career as a musician, she decided to take on the role of an actor. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors and Storks. In 2018, she scored her first major role in a number of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by"In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
