Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and singer. She is an Michigan native, born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is from Polish origin (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was already a talented entertainer in the early stages. When she was in 1992, she went to her very first audition. She was given an appearance of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent when she was 13 and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. Also, she began acting lessons in private at that time. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a part of the music and drama clubs at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the role of the lead Dorothy character. Bell studied music theatre in the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell quit her studies in 2001, and assumed the role of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell made her first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and only the credits display her. Bell appeared in Broadway in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
